The bomb which is 1.6m long was found by workers who were dredging in an irrigation canal by Dao river in Dong Son commune, Do Luong district on November 11.

Functional forces successfully salvaged and deactivated the bomb on November 13, ensuring the safety of local residents.

The bomb is identified as of a type used by the US army in the past war.
