Hoang Nam was overwhelmed right from the start in the first set by Wang, seeded No 8, losing 6-1, but made an impressive resurgence in the second set with the score of 6-4.
In the decisive set, Wang displayed his superior international experience, defeating Nam, 2-1 to secure the win.
Hoang Nam will now fly back to Vietnam to join the national team in preparation for the 2016 Asia-Pacific Davis Cup.
