In Kinh Mon district, after the first outbreak was declared on March 1 in An Thuy hamlet, Hien Thanh commune, a flock of pigs of a local resident in Tu Du hamlet, Minh Hoa commune were also found to be sick and dead on March 3. The results of samples taken from the pig farm were positive for the ASF virus.

While all the infected pigs were being culled, Kinh Mon district also declared the ASF epidemic in the locality.

On March 6, a new outbreak of ASF was further discovered in another pig farm of a local resident in Hiep Thuong hamlet, Hiep Son commune in Kinh Mon district.

All the pigs of the resident have been culled right after the tested results of samples were positive for the ASF virus. Hiep Son commune was the third commune in the district where ASF outbreak has been detected.

According to information from Kinh Mon district, on the afternoon of March 7, a household in Thon Noi hamlet, Minh Hoa commune reported suspected symptoms of AFS in their pigs. At present, animal health agencies have taken samples from the pig farm for testing.

Meanwhile, in Tu Ky district, after the first outbreak was announced on March 4 in Nghia Dung hamlet, Dai Dong commune, a flock of pigs of a local resident in Do Trung hamlet, Dai Hop commune were also discovered to have high fever. Samples were taken from the pig farm and they also tested positive for ASF virus.

Local authorities and the household have culled all the pigs on March 6. This is the second outbreak of ASF in Tu Ky district recorded so far.
