
The four patients were aged between 62 and 97 and originated from the central provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh , Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi capital. They had been suffering from a number of chronic diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes (type II), osteoarthritis, cushing's syndrome, chronic kidney disease, heart failure, and pancreatic cancer.
Each of the individuals had earlier tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and subsequently died after being admitted to hospital for treatment.
So far, the nation has recorded 59 COVID-19 deaths during the latest outbreak that hit the country in late April, with 94 fatalities in total since the virus was first detected in the nation back in January, 2020.
