The Deputy PM affirmed that digital economy innovation is a leading factor to accelerate the growth and development of a nation, providing a platform to increase productivity across economy as well as offering innovation opportunities for entrepreneurs. 

He noted that ministries and agencies in Vietnam have spared no efforts to improve the business environment for more investment attraction.

Vietnam has become a destination for foreign information technology (IT) investors in the process of attracting investment. He underscored the importance of reviewing and updating investment policies as an important component in the national digitalization process thus enabling Vietnam to become a destination for foreign investors in the digital economy and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

In the current digital economy, data and human factor are considered one of the most important resources, he said while stressing the need to gather data as a common resource for all to find proper business opportunities.

He expressed hope that after the event, investors, organizations and individuals will avail themselves of investment projects for hardware and software industries, and those on the application of IT in all fields.

The ICT investment forum aims to discuss consultation policies to attract investment in the ICT field. The objectives of the forum include the creation of a favourable business climate and promotion of sustainable development in the process of the digital economy transformation, and the connection of foreign investors to Vietnamese digital enterprises.
