The theme of the 720 metre flower street is “TP.HCM-Khat Vong Vuon Xa” (Ho Chi Minh City-Aspiration for a bright future). |
As usual, to celebrate the Year of the Pig, the entrance of the street will be decorated with statues of pigs. |
There will be a family of nine pigs in the centre of the street including 2 larger mother and father pig statues and in front of them their 7 piglet children. |
This is the 16th adaptation of the flower street to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival in the city. |
The construction of the popular attraction will commence on January 18th, 2019 and will be completed at 6pm on February 2th, 2019. |
The street will open to the public from 7pm on February 2th to 10pm on February 8, 2019. |
Various kinds of flowers will be used in distinctive arrangements on the streets. |
Flower artisans from the city and neighbouring provinces will create miniatures from flowers and bonsai. |
