The theme of the 720 metre flower street is “TP.HCM-Khat Vong Vuon Xa” (Ho Chi Minh City-Aspiration for a bright future).
As usual, to celebrate the Year of the Pig, the entrance of the street will be decorated with statues of pigs.
There will be a family of nine pigs in the centre of the street including 2 larger  mother and father pig statues and in front of them their 7 piglet children.
This is the 16th adaptation of the flower street to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival in the city.
The construction of the popular attraction will commence on January 18th, 2019 and will be completed at 6pm on February 2th, 2019.
The street will open to the public from 7pm on February 2th to 10pm on February 8, 2019.
Various kinds of flowers will be used in distinctive arrangements on the streets.

Flower artisans from the city and neighbouring provinces will create miniatures from flowers and bonsai.
