The primary aim is to meet the increasing travel demand during the upcoming four-day holiday that marks National Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labour Day (May 1).

According to Vietravel Airlines, the seat occupancy on the carrier’s flights from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to popular tourist destinations, including Quy Nhon, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc, have already reached between 80% and 100% during the peak season from April 27 to May 3.

Most notably, airfares on the route from Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc are sold out for this period.

In preparation for the upcoming summer season, Vietravel Airlines has offered discounted tickets priced from only VND8,000, excluding taxes and fees, every Tuesday on domestic flights. It is currently working with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to increase the frequency of flights during this time.

Vietravel Airlines also intends to expand its flight network to include Northeast Asian and Southeast Asian markets from the second quarter of the year, to provide customers with additional options in terms of flight schedules and air routes to international tourist destinations.

The new air carrier said it has worked with partners as part of wider efforts to increase the number of its aircraft to six this year, in line with the proposed schedule that has already been approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
