The La Chi ethnic people in Ha Giang Province have a population of roughly 10,765. They live on the mountain, which is 2,000 metres above sea level. 

The women usually wear a four-panelled dress with a belt, a bra, and a long turban, along with a pair of trousers or a skirt.

Men wear five-panelled shirts that fall below their knees (nowadays these shirts are shorter), wide trousers, and head turbans.

They live a sedentary life that revolves around traditional village life.

Adults teach children how to weave.
