Nguyen Xuan Binh, vice director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, said the city is researching a plan to open tourism representative offices in China and the EU. Representatives in these markets will allow the tourism sector to develop an information channel to promote the image of the city, organize events and connect local businesses with these markets.
Binh added that countries in Asia and Southeast Asia have successfully set up their own tourism representative offices, for instance Thailand has established representative offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
