More than 1,600 people have participated in the survey. 89% of the respondents said they support the market economy model, while 71% voiced support of private sector ownership in the national economy. Some 94% underscored the need for transparency in the policy implementation process in Vietnam. Nearly 99% agreed with state policies on transferring some public services to the private sector.
Vu Tien Loc, VCCI President said CAMS 2014 has reflected the perception of the Vietnamese business community and individual groups from different economic sectors regarding Vietnam’s transition to the market economy in recent times. The results have shown that the country’s economic reforms are aligned with the demands of both the people and businesses.
Loc stressed that the results of CAMS 2014 will be important indicators for policy makers and research units to work out action plans to drive the national economy in a right direction while helping to improve Vietnamese citizens’ living conditions.
