The event, co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), the Vietnamese embassy in Japan and AEON Retail Group, is part of the government’s plan to help Vietnamese businesses join foreign distribution networks through to 2020.

Vietnamese businesses are expected to meet AEON’s wholesale importers and other Japanese businesses, and study the distribution network in Tokyo including Takashimaya Shinjuku Store shopand Keio-New Line in Tokyo.

Vietnamese goods displayed at 20 pavilions will be garments and textiles, footwear, farm produce, food technology and products, and home furniture.

MoIT has recently co-ordinated with foreign retailers to organize the visit of Vietnamese business delegations to Vietnamese goods weeks in France, Italy, the Republic of Korea and Thailand.
