“It’s a celebration at Vietjet today as our fast-growing airline took delivery of another new A320 aircraft, its 40th,” said Managing Director Luu Duc Khanh.

Mr Khanh said the new aircraft is part of Vietjet’s strategy to increase efficiency on major routes in the Asia Pacific region and around the globe, and further the airline’s plans to deploy the giant double decker on popular routes over the coming months.

“Vietjet is proud to operate a new and modern fleet and is firmly committed to acquiring the latest in new generation aircraft to bring our passengers comfortable and high-quality flights” he said.

Vietjet is one of the largest operators of A320 aircraft in the world. The airline made history by ordering 100 of the aircraft and this delivery represents only the 18th on that order from the European aircraft maker Airbus.

This purchase means Vietjet now has 82 A320 aircraft yet to be delivered.

On the occasion, Mr Khanh unveiled that Vietjet is offering free and highly discounted promotional tickets that go on sale from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on June 14-16 for domestic flights departing August 10 to December 31 (excluding national holidays).
