Growth was seen in six out of the 11 major goods and services groups with the highest hike reported in transportation at 1.78% due to the increased price of fuels. Other groups recorded price hikes were food and catering services with 1.07%; housing, electricity and water (0.24%); other goods and services (0.13%); beverage and cigarette (0.05%); and apparel, headwear and footwear (0.01%). Especially, in the restaurant and catering service group, foodstuff rose 1.77%, dine-out climbed 0.26%, while food dropped 0.15%.Some commodities experienced a drop in their prices, including cultural, entertainment and tourism products with 0.01%, and home appliances, 0.1%. Prices of the groups of telecommunication; pharmaceutical products and health services; and education remained stable in the reviewed period. The price of US dollar rose 0.33%, while the gold price climbed 0.61% against the previous month.
