The US, Japan, China and the Republic of Korea were the four largest export markets for the nine-month period, accounting for 53.7% of the total export value.  Markets with high growth were China (up 55.2%), the US (14.3%), the Netherlands (12.3%) and Thailand (10.8%).Businesses in Vietnam also imported US$770 million of fish and seafood for the nine-month period, down 7.2% over the same period last year.Despite a number of difficulties and challenges hitting the Mekong Delta region, in particular, very hard, said MARD, farm raised fish and seafood of the region managed to hit US$4.9 million metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.2%.
