Earlier Vietnam had beaten reigning champion Japan on penalties in an Asian Football Confederation Futsal Championship quarterfinal in February to secure this, their first-ever ticket to the World Cup.
"We will continue playing our style at the World Cup displaying our never-say-die spirit regardless of the opponents. If we do that, fans and spectators will enjoy the games as well as our showing."
Vietnam will play Guatemala on September 11, Paraguay on September 14 and Italy on September 17, according to the official schedule for the competition.
