Minh Tri opened the scoring in the 13th minute of the first half. After some slick passing, China’s defence was carved open leaving Minh Tri to calmly finish. |
China equalised from the penalty spot and then scored a second goal soon after. Co Tri Kiet dispatched a shot from outside the area to bring Vietnam level at 2-2 in the 17th minute. |
China dominated proceedings in the second half with Vietnam struggling to get a foothold in the game. In a rare spell of possession for the Vietnamese, Quoc Hung scored Vietnam’s third goal in the 24th minute to put them 3-2 ahead. |
Vietnam did not lead for long however, Xu Yang equalised three minutes later with a well worked shot that snuck through the Vietnamese goalkeeper’s legs. |
Vietnam were gifted a fourth goal after a goalkeeping blunder allowed Quoc Nam to wrap up the victory in the 31st minute. His goal proved decisive and the match ended 4-3 Vietnam. |
Next up for the Vietnamese futsal team is a match against the Netherlands at 1:30pm on October 22. After this they will fly to Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the Southeast Asia Futsal Tournament in Vietnam. |
