Thai national team trains ahead of King’s Cup 2019 opener
Sirisak Yodyardthai, the head coach of the Thai national team, also announced his squad of 32 footballers that have gathered to train for the upcoming tournament.

June 1 will see the 32 players reduced to a final squad of 23.

The training session saw the participation of a number of outstanding Thai footballing talents, including Teerasil Dangda, Kawin Thamsatchanan, Sumanya Purisay, Peeradon Chumratsamee, Adisorn Promrak, Tanaboon Kesarat, Apiwat Pengprakhon, and Jakkaphan Phaisuwan.

In addition to these players, members of the Thai team that are playing for foreign clubs such as Theerathon Bunmathan and Thitiphan Puangjan will meet up with the national team on June 2.

The Thai national team received some bad news ahead the tournament with midfielder Chanathip Songkrasin, dubbed “Messi of Thailand”, being ruled out with a thigh injury. He was injured playing for Consadole Sapporo FC in the Japan National League. No information regarding Chanathip Songkrasin and the possibility of him making an appearance against Vietnam has been mentioned.

Other Thai players also suffering from injuries include Teerasil Dangda, Nurul Sriyankem, and Bodin Phala.
