The head coach received the honour of being presented with the Fair Play Honour Award, a lifetime achievement award for individuals and groups who have had a significant influence on the development of Vietnamese football.

Some of the national team’s players were also rewarded. In total, four players from Vietnam’s national team including Bui Tien Dung, Doan Van Hau, Ha Duc Chinh, and Nguyen Quang Hai, took part in The Saturday Wish TV show. The aim of the show is to cater for the participants’ dreams. Thanks to their contribution, the players themselves earned an award.
The four-man group fulfilled the wishes of a young fan. The players met with Tom (born Nguyen Ba Thien Vinh), a four-year-old boy who has been suffering from brain cancer his entire life.
