Head coach Pang Hang-seo takes a moment to pray before the start of the practice. The Korean coach has previously coached at the ground when he led the Vietnam U23s to victory over their Thai rivals during the M150 Cup in 2017.
The training session gave the Vietnamese footballers a chance to get acquainted with the ground where the opening tie of the King’s Cup 2019 between Vietnam and Thailand will take place.
Footballers started the practice with some light exercises under Mr. Park’s instructions.
He paid close attention to Cong Phuong (R) during the warm-up exercises.
The head coach also interacted with Trong Hoang (L) during the opening moments of the session.
With the weather in Buriram so hot, currently 35 degree Celsius, the players seemed tired after doing some light exercises.
Despite suffering from a light injury, footballer Nguyen Quang Hai took part in the practice.
Newcomer to the squad Tuan Anh (C) is expected to bring a fresh style of play to the Vietnamese national team.
During the M150 Cup back in 2017, Cong Phuong scored two goals and led Vietnam to a 2-1 triumph over Thailand.
The opening fixture against the host nation will take place at 7:45pm (Vietnam time) on June 5.
