Facing Rubin Statham of New Zealand (No.769th in ATP rankings) in the final, Nam (No 712nd ATP rankings) started the game with great confidence and determination. He made the most of his strength, including his powerful serve with high accuracy, to win the first set 6-4, later going to dominate again in the second set to win 6-4.

The overall 2-0 win therefore helped Nam win his fifth international title, with the local tennis player also receiving US$2,160 in prize money, along with 10 points toward his world ranking.

This comes after on November 29 the Vietnamese tennis player also successfully defeated Giles Hussey, a strong opponent from the UK, to win men’s singles of M15 Cancun Tournament 2021 in Mexico.

His previous three international titles are the Vietnam F5 Futures back in September, 2016, the Thailand F3 Futures in June, 2017, and the M15 Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt in October.

Moving forward, will fly to Thailand in early 2022 to compete in three M15 tournaments.
