The ranking is attributed to his impressive performance at Vietnam F4 Futures at which Nam secured second place in the final.
The result added 15 points to his ranking score, giving him a total of 90. Hoang Nam is now only 10 points short of breaking into the top 400 players.
It is the highest placing Nam has achieved in his career. He is also the highest ranked player in Southeast Asia, followed by Thai tennis player Wishaya Trongcharoenchaikul, world No.479. The excitement surrounding Nam continues to grow.
Nam will take part in Vietnam F5 Futures in Tay Ninh province on October 30. The Vietnamese top player, seeded No.3 in men’s singles event, will face Lukas Ollert of Germany, world No.700 in the first match. It’s a great chance for him to gain some more ranking points.
