After four matches played in the third qualifying round, the national team have yet to win a single point, and the home game against Japan is the chance for Vietnam to secure their first points though it is unlikely that the team will qualify for the final round in Qatar.
The media and football experts have been frank in pointing out the team's weakness following their failures in recent times. Many believed the team need time to evolve, and Park could make some changes in the lineup in the November 11 match.
In a press conference held ahead of the fixture, the Korean coach noted that Japan had won two and lost two matches in their first four games remain a hard nut to crack in Group B as the powerhouses rank 30th in the world.
The Japanese team will surely enjoy more possession than Vietnam, but playing at home is an advantage for the Vietnamese side, he stressed.
In the third qualifying round for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Vietnamese side had scored in three out of four matches, except for the match against Australia, and they will try their utmost to earn points in the match against Japan, said Park.

Meanwhile, Park also said that he had no idea when being asked about the results of the match.
Vietnam are scheduled to play Japan at Hanoi’s My Dinh National Stadium at 07.00pm (local time).
