The Vietnam U23 team has many outstanding players who are crucial to their teams at domestic level. Many of the squad’s key players are turning out for sides that are competing for the V-League title.
Ho Tan Tai of Binh Duong FC played in a total of 24 matches out of 26 during the V-League 2018 season.
Doan Van Hau of Hanoi FC took part in 17 out of 26 matches in the V-League last year. Only injuries stopped him from playing in more fixtures.
Nguyen Hoang Duc of Viettel FC has played in all three of his team’s V-League matches this year. Recently he has been a part of the Vietnam U23’s starting line-up as selected by head coach Park Hang Seo.
Nguyen Quang Hai of Hanoi FC took part in 24 out of total 26 matches in the V-League 2018 season as his team won the league.
Tran Dinh Trong of Hanoi FC played in 14 matches during the V-League 2018 season. Trong and Duy Manh of Hanoi FC are now considered the best defenders in the league.

Defender Bui Tien Dung of Danang FC competed in 20 matches in the V-League last year.
Famous names including Ha Duc Chinh, Do Thanh Thinh, and Dinh Thanh Binh are all important players for their local football clubs.
