In the 3rd minute, Lin Chih-Hung opened the scoring for Taipei. However, Vietnam fought back strongly taking the lead with two consecutive unanswered goals by Bao Quan and Trong Luan.


Taiwan put the game on a knife’s edge tying it all up in the 26th minute. However, they proved to be no match for Vietnam who swiftly restored their advantage with three more goals to put the game out of reach despite a last minute comeback.


At another match in group C, Thailand beat Tajikistan 5-4. At present Vietnam and Thailand lead in group C with three points.
