The information was announced by representatives from the organising board – FLC Group, at a press conference on August 22.
This is the largest event of its kind with total prizes valuing at VND60 billion (US$2.7 million).
Luu Duc Quang from FLC Group said the event is hoped to create a professional playing field for golfers, contributing to promoting local tourism and raising funds for charitable activities in Binh Dinh.
FLC Group has organised four events of this kind so far, beginning in 2012. The first event attracted the participation of 140 golfers, while those in 2013, 2014 and 2015 were attended by 200, 300 and 800 golfers, respectively.
