The event witnessed the participation of Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, Deputy Minister of National Defence, and Major General Le Tan Toi. They were joined by Deputy Minister of Public Security, Secretary of the Party Central Committee Nguyen Van Nen, and Nguyen Thanh Phong, chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Military Services Council, this year has seen 3,802 military draftees and 800 police rookies enlist in the southern city.
Approximately 41.95% of those who enlisted hold degrees at either intermediate level, college, or university, with 2.05% of them being party members.

Participants are subject to body temperature checks at the event. In addition, they are also required to wear face masks and maintain a safe distance in adherence to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention guidelines.
