As a result, local authorities and people will be more aware of changes in weather patterns and floods, she noted, adding that smart transport to enhance convenience and safety is also a priority. The WB expert said Can Tho’s smart city model is the first in the Asia-Pacific region to gain the WB’s attention; however, careful assessments are needed to verify the project’s feasibility before any further support can be offered.
