Participants at the event were briefed on Vietnam’s history as well as the country’s achievement during Doi Moi (reform) progress.Besides, Vietnam’s tourism potential with numerous famous attractions such as Ha Long Bay, Sa Pa and Hue was introduced at the event.Vietnam has become a favourite destination for Argentinean tourists, a Vietnamese Embassy’s representative said, adding the Southeast Asian country welcomed about 10,000 Argentinean visitors in recent years. On this occasion, a photo exhibition on Vietnam was held, attracting attention of local visitors.
Vietnam and Argentina have boosted bilateral trade ties with trade turnover exceeding US$3 billion in 2016, up 20 percent against 2015 and three times higher than that of 2012. Argentina is currently one of leading trade partners of Vietnam in Latin America.
