The initiative will increase Red Cross relief activities significantly, alongside an important expansion of long-term efforts to strengthen the resilience of the more than 30 thousand people affected by climate change.
At the agreement signing ceremony, Jesper Moller, chief representative of UNICEF in Vietnam, said the project will focus on improving water supply conditions and sanitation practice for 30,000 vulnerable people in the six provinces of Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Ben Tre, Soc Trang, Kon Tum and Gia Lai.
Mrs Thu, president of the Vietnam Red Cross, thanked UNICEF for their support saying it helps significantly in supporting the needy and underprivileged in the country – especially children, women, people with disabilities and the poor.
