UNESCO office in Hanoi marks its 40th anniversary

In honour of the occasion, the Commission held a reception for several hundred distinguished guests today (June 12) at which Le Hoai Trung, deputy minister of Foreign Affairs and chair of the Commission delivered the model welcome speech.

During the talk, Mr Trung briefed guests on the successes and the failures of the Commission over the past four decades and briefly identified all the major milestones in its storied existence.Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh in turn spoke about the Commission’s contribution to the country’s multilateral diplomacy and expressed his hopes for continued success across a broad range of fields in the future.
