The US$340 million project, stretches through the districts of Tan Binh, Go Vap, Binh Thanh, Thu Duc for a total length of 13.6 kilometres and width of 30-60 metres.
  

The initial point begins at the Tan Son Nhat airport in the Tan Binh district and ends at the intersection of Linh Xuan intersection in the Thu Duc District. The new route is expected to reduce traffic congestion in the area of Tan Son Nhat airport.
