The tail end section of the bus erupted in flames while the driver was navigating the road section of Vuong Loc commune, Can Loc district in the central Ha Tinh province, heading in a southward direction.

The driver stopped the bus on the roadside to allow passengers to escape from the burning vehicle. Many nearby residents joined the efforts to extinguish the fire.

Dozens of firefighters were mobilized to tackle the blaze, which was brought under control after 20 minutes. The fire seriously damaged the tail end section of the bus.

Another bus was dispatched to the scene to carry the passengers on the remainder of their journey.
