On July 21 the Centre announced breakthroughs in the use of infrared laparoscopy with indocyanine green (ICG), a cyanine dye used in medical diagnostics, that has markedly increased the efficiency of treating the disease.
In many cases this new therapy developed by Vietnamese researchers, approved by the Ministry of Health and only currently available in Vietnam has resulted in complete remission of the cancer.
