The new hospital, which covers 61,000sq.m, will not only provide health checkups and treatment to the local people but also to patients from neighbouring provinces of Binh Thuan and Ba Ria-Vung Tau. With a 600 bed-capacity, the hospital will strive to provide excellent quality of care to many residents. Hospital Director Su Son said the old hospital in Long Khanh was built in 1958-60 and although it had deteriorated it still received an average of 1,200-1,600 people each day. The number of patients needing inpatient care was between 450 and 500. The new hospital will create better conditions for health checkups and treatment, he said.
