Vietnam Ambassador to Ukraine Nguyen Minh Tri said the traditional friendly ties between the two countries have been developing strongly over the past 25 years and lifted to comprehensive cooperation partnership in 2011.Ambassador Tri said during the Vietnam war, hundreds of Ukraine specialists came to help Vietnam defend and reconstruct the country. Meanwhile, after a  period studying and working in Kharkov, thousands of Vietnamese youth have returned and applied their acquired  knowledge and skills in their post-war national construction.The ambassador conveyed sincere thanks to Ukraine State, government and people for their assistance during the national construction and defence process.
He believed that bilateral relations will witness new progress and success to realize mutual benefits.Kharkov governor Yiliya Svitlychna and other officials praised Vietnam for its achievements and obtaining an important position in the international arena.The governor expressed her hope to further strengthen bilateral friendship and cooperation ties in the coming time.Guests at the meeting had a chance to enjoy traditional Vietnamese dishes, Ukraine songs and Vietnamese traditional dances presented by the Vietnamese community in Kharkov and see a photo exhibition on Vietnam-Ukraine relations over the past 25 years.
