The visiting minister said his delegation has toured the local high-tech park and centre for quality measurement to learn about their operations. He lauded Ho Chi Minh City’s socio-economic growth, in which science and technology have an important role.
Welcoming his guest, Liem said delegation exchanges between Vietnam and Laos in the field of science and technology provide insights and boost connectivity. He reviewed past cooperation between the southern city and Laos in the field, adding that the local authorities will do their best to assist future joint projects.
The same day, the Lao delegation met with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology to discuss a range of topics, including technology transfer and scientific research programmes.
