The event, held at the University of Information and Communication Technology, saw the participation of representatives of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam and many Lao students studying in Thai Nguyen.The Bun Pi May festival falls on April 13-15, with several rituals to pray for good weather, bumper harvests and a prosperous New Year.
Addressing the event, a local official extended greetings to all Lao students who are studying in the province and asked universities to create favourable conditions for their study. Currently, nearly 1,600 Lao students are studying at high schools, colleges and universities in Thai Nguyen province.
