Permanent Secretary of the Labor Ministry Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark said today that his ministry is conducting the competition at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi, from August 30 to September 4, 2018.

The event has attracted 331 competitors from 10 ASEAN member countries. 52 Thai youngsters are participating in the contest.

The media center will be responsible for disseminating information related to many events. 

 Labor Minister Pol Gen Adul Sangsingkeo, believes that the 12th ASEAN Skills Competition will boost the potential of young participants in the region and prepare them for future changes, as the need for a bigger technical workforce is gathering momentum.

 He stressed that the event aligns with the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Blueprint and the Thailand 4.0 model. 

 After presiding at the opening of the media center, the labor minister visited the competition hall itself.
