The preferential loan agreement was signed by Deputy Minister of Finance Truong Chi Trung and Deputy General Director Hesham Al-Waqayan on behalf of Vietnam and the Kuwait Fund, respectively.
Speaking at the signing ceremony in Hanoi, Deputy Minister Trung expressed his sincere appreciation for the financial assistance saying it would contribute significantly to improving the quality of health care for the local citizens.
The Kuwait Fund has been a much appreciated benefactor of Vietnam, said Trung, having provided US$159.45 million in favourable loans for 13 projects throughout the country, mainly for rural infrastructure, transport and irrigation projects.
