The ambassador took part in a tour of the province on April 23, to review the implementation of Irish funded projects there.

He made fact-finding visits to the Ba Na ethnic people’s Brocade Trade Village in Thang Loi ward, Kon Tum city and a new section of road in Ya Tang commune, Sa Thay district – both of which were funded by the Irish Government. The diplomat also called in on several local households that are enjoying the benefits of Irish aid. In 2013, the Irish Government offered VND7.5 billion (US$352,500) in non-refundable aid to five infrastructure projects in extremely impoverished communes in Kon Tum.
