According to the police force, the suspects and their activities have been under surveillance for a long time. The group, which included foreign nationals, transported drugs through the Bo Y Border Gate in Kon Tum province before moving onto sell the items in Ho Chi Minh city and other cities and provinces.

When searching the group’s base used for storing contraband, police discovered 300 kg of drugs. Such large quantities discovered makes it the largest amount of drugs ever seized.
