The ship is anchoring in Cat Lat Port, Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for its mission.

The hospital ship, with 200 doctors and crew members on board, is 70 metres long and 13 metres wide. 

The ship joined the Komodo multilateral naval exercise in Indonesia in early April.

It is equipped with modern technology.

MDs on board the ship provide treatment to soldiers and people on Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago and the DK1 oil rig once every two years.

The ship contains 15 hospital beds.
