In her opening speech, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien said Vietnam had made priority of improving its social welfare, especially the health services, which had laid the groundwork for further socio-economic development. She added that Vietnam encourages domestic and foreign investment into the health sector.

The healthcare sector leader also admitted challenges while expressed the willingness to learn from other countries’ experience. 

Discussions at this year’s 2-day event focus on the social responsibility of hospitals, human resource development, marketing and PR, patient safety, clinical service improvement, customer service, and IT application in healthcare.

Fifty-three collective awards will be presented to the best among 322 quality improvement initiatives.

The event hosted by the Asian Hospital Federation aims to share experience regionally and internationally in hospital management and service improvement.
