The Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee has requested that residents refrain from gathering in public places whilst maintaining a distance of at least one metre from each other.
Local people have also been asked not to exercise or play sports as a group in parks, gardens, or any other public spaces.
Despite these instructions, numerous Hanoians can be seen doing exercise at Pasteur Flower Garden amid the sharp rise in fresh community cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Even elderly people, who are at the highest risk of suffering from severe illness or even death from COVID-19, still choose to ignore regulations.
Several women gather together in a large group to do exercises at Hoan Kiem lake without taking any preventative steps to halt the potential spread of COVID-19.
A number of people walk around the lake, despite continued warnings from municipal authorities about the potential risks of COVID-19 spreading among the wider community.
