On August 26, Politburo member and Secretary of the municipal Party’s Committee Hoang Trung Hai worked with Head of the Party Central Committee’s Internal Affairs Commission and deputy head of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption Phan Dinh Trac in Hanoi, aiming to review the city’s implementation of Resolution No 3 of the Party Central Committee (10th tenure) on the enhancement of the Party’s leadership in fighting against corruption and wastefulness.

Over recent years, a string of conferences have been held to raise awareness for nearly 1.5 million officials while revising and promulgating hundreds of documents suitable with the local situation.

The capital city plays a crucial role in the State management work and corruption prevention, Hai said while revealing shortcomings in the field, including inadequate understanding of the fight among a number of Party members and poor implementation of anti-corruption activities.

Hanoi should intensify communication campaigns to actualize anti-corruption policies and laws, Hai noted.

In his address, Deputy head of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption Phan Dinh Trac asked the city to pay greater attention to fine-tuning legal documents, duly dealing with any violations and increasing public awareness about anti-corruption work.
