Among the transgressions are four boat operators who were fined for serious life threatening breaches along with hundreds of less serious but important safety infractions and hundreds of scamming incidents.

Officials said two of the boats were fined for letting tourists sit on the side rails of the vessels and numerous others for illegal towing of smaller boats that were carrying passengers.

Among the more thoroughly disgusting violations was that of a boat operator who was driving the vessel with his feet, which not surprisingly resulted in more than one accident.

The Management Board has not disclosed the penalties doled out for the violations.

Currently, around 500 tourist boats operate daily at the bay.
