According to a preliminary report, at 4:20pm, a large fire sparked from a paint workshop, spread to neighbouring areas and erupted in flames, sending plumes of black smoke billowing across the region.
Firefighting forces were rushed to the scene immediately after emergency calls.
 
According to local authorities, dozens of fire trucks were dispatched to the scene.
At 6:30pm, the fire was brought under control.
The fire destroyed a workshop, three houses and a car. 
Police officers and security guards cordoned off the scene and regulated traffic.
 
 
The workshop was completely ravaged by the fire. 
 
 
 
The fire caused prolonged traffic congestion as it is close to Thang Long boulevard.
