According to initial information, the fire began at around 4:10am in a factory located in District 12.
Thick clouds of smoke were seen rising from the fire.
Some people made an attempt to extinguish the fire and save the property but their efforts were in vain.
The factory contained flammable materials which were rapidly engulfed in flames, before spreading to a nearby business.
Several fire engines and 130 firefighters were mobilized to the scene.
