According to some eyewitnesses, the fire started on the 6th floor of the 9-storey building, before spreading up to the 7th and 8th floors.
Fortunately, there were no staff working in the building at the time as they went out for lunch.
 
 
Shortly after the incident, seven fire engines were quickly dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire.
As the fire broke out onto the upper levels of the building, a ladder truck had to be mobilized to help the firefighters control the flame.
 
 
Many local people and passers were curious about the fire, causing severe traffic congestion on the street.
