Son La province has successfully traced 1,949 cases linked to infected patients in Bac Ninh, Hoa Binh, Ha Nam, Vinh Phuc, and Dien Bien province since April 29. Of the total, 964 samples have since tested negative for the virus, whilst the remaining individuals are now waiting for their results.

Furthermore, 11,427 people who came into close contact with 34 COVID-19 patients in An Don industrial park in Da Nang have also been tested for the virus, with their results coming back negative for the first time.

The Center for Disease Control of Can Tho City announced on May 13 that all F1 and F2 cases linked to a COVID-19 patient in the southern city have tested negative, with the entire group currently in quarantine where their health status remains in a stable condition.

Moreover, Ho Chi Minh City has started performing random COVID-19 testing on individuals who are either living or working in places that are at high risk of infection, including sites such as hospitals, factories, industrial parks, airports, bus stations, and restaurants.

This comes after the southern metropolis took samples from 19,936 random people, with all of their results coming back negative for the virus.
